Fear and Loathing @ Brighton Electric

For our summer edition of Fear & Loathing we return to our fav venue in Brighton, the Electric. It is Pride weekend and whilst we don’t want to compete with one of the greatest weekends in the city’s social calendar, we realise our people will want something a bit more underground after engaging in the daytime festivities.

In the main room we have the meeting of the tribes, with the dynamic duo from Black Octopus, Nick and Andy kicking things off at 9pm. Next up is Stompa Phunk head honcho, all round great guy and amazing DJ Serge Santiago, before our own Pete Bones takes the helm and brings it all home. In the bar our resident and underrated by some (def not by all) Mark Lord starts the ball rolling at 8pm before the effervescent Black Octopus lads take it up a notch at 10pm til we turn the music off there at around 12.30.

Finally and for the first time we have music outside on the deck, from 7-11pm, in the form of Windsor’s finest females, the one and only Granny Takes A Trip. These ladies made a big splash when they last played for us at The Rialto and have been requested ever since. We go from 7pm-2am, and we have to limit tickets to 175 for this party due to going over capacity last time and being fined by the venue, so don’t sleep on it!
